Cancellation Policy
Custom tours are designed and booked specifically for you. This policy explains what happens if you cancel.
1 – Payments
- Deposit to confirm: 30% of the total trip price.
- Final balance: due 60 days before the departure date.
- Bookings within 60 days of departure: full payment due within 72 hours of invoice.
Your booking is confirmed once we receive your deposit.
If the final balance is not paid by the due date, AK Cycling may treat the booking as cancelled and apply the fees below.
2 – Cancellation fees
All cancellations must be sent in writing by email. The cancellation date is the date we receive your email notice.
Cancellation fees (percentage of Total Trip Price):
- 61+ days before departure: 10%
- 46–60 days: 20%
- 31–45 days: 50%
- 15–30 days: 70%
- 0–14 days: 100%
*Payment fees are non-refundable.
3- Special option for cancellations 61+ days before departure
If you cancel 61+ days before departure, you may choose one of the following:
Option A – Standard cancellation (10% fee):
Refund = Deposit − 10% of Total Trip Price

Option B – Deposit as AK Credit:
Convert the deposit amount paid into AK Credit
AK Credit terms:
- Valid 12 months from issue date
- Non-refundable and not redeemable for cash
- Can be used toward any AK Cycling trip
4- No show / Late Arrival / Early departure
No refund or credit is available for no-shows, late arrivals, early departures, or unused services once the trip has started.
5 – Transfer your booking
You may transfer your booking to another person with reasonable notice (typically 7+ days), provided suppliers allow the change. Any supplier name-change fees (if applicable) are your responsibility.
6 – Travel insurance (strongly recommended)
We strongly recommend travel insurance covering cancellation/interruption, medical & repatriation, and cycling activities.
